Why do you have the "not say" option? If someone doesn't want to answer they just don't answer!

We have the "no say" option in case someone feels that this is a subject which they'd like to contribute to but do not feel happy to tell the world what their own orientation is. Having said that it's 100% anonymous!

Scott Thornbury who suggests that TEFL attracts a higher percentage of gay teachers...

So, as far as I have understood, TEFL attracts more gays than...

Excuse me for not having understood completely, but... I wonder there's a higher percentage of gays than what? Than the usual percentage of gays in the teaching of OTHER SUBJECTS, like of teaching Math? Or than the usual percentage of gays and lesbians in the society?

It would be interesting to make it clear. Thank you in advance.

So, the question itself has been put incorrectly.

"In EFL there are more gays."

Period. Or rather an exclamation mark. More gays!!!! :p

My friends, I'll reveal you a secret. Any statistical sampling, which has been made among any group of adults (checker players, boxers, mathematicians or pocket thieves) will show any rate or any factor higher than average in society. At least because about 15-25 per cent of population make underage children who can't participate in such polls by definition.

So, if you want to confirm or to deny the opinion of some Mr. Thornsbury - be my guest. But please keep in mind that by scientifical correctness this is the same as an attempt to count exact quantity of angels living on the tip of a needle.
